My work can be described as representational in an impressionistic style. I don’t seek to paint popular views or chase narrative within my paintings. Instead, I delve deep into the human senses, arranging striking compositions, play dark against light, introduce you to pattern and shadow, invoke mood, or simply reflect my own quiet contemplation, maybe from a distant viewpoint high on the moors. I'm generally drawn to the historical connections of places and the solitude that can be found in the landscape.
