UNDERSTAND LIGHT

WATERCOLOUR/ACRYLIC WORKSHOP

If you want to learn the facets of painting light, then this workshop is a must. Crammed with information and theory, you will learn how to interpret light, how to understand colour values and the role they play when painting light, how and when to use translucent colour, when to use opacity, plus the secret to painting shadows. All the information will be shared through a demonstration painting after which you will have the opportunity to put the theory into practise in your own painting. Although this workshop is a stand alone day course, it also acts as a natural follow on from the course – How to Make The Colours You See. Suitable for watercolour, or acrylic.

WHAT TO BRING

Reference material to work from (usually a few photographs), acrylic or watercolour paints, (bring your own colours including titanium white), matt medium for acrylic, surface to work on such as acrylic paper or canvas, cotton watercolour paper, spare paper for exercises, brushes, water pot, palette, kitchen roll, masking tape, water spray, 6B pencil, putty rubber, table covering, old shirt or apron. Please bring your own packed lunch.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations are subject to a one off £20.00 administration charge to cover processing costs, website booking fees, and card payment fees. For cancellations within one week of the course date, no refunds can be given. ​In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled, moved or rearranged you will be offered a refund of your payment or an alternative course. The organiser will not be held responsible for any extra costs arising out of the cancellation of a course.
