CONNECTING WITH COLOUR IN ACRYLIC

ACRYLIC WORKSHOP

In this workshop you will learn how to use a limited colour scheme to make your acrylic paintings engaging. You will be introduced to the idea of selecting a key colour as a means of connecting everything together. The day will begin with an overview of acrylic paint and associated mediums, along with a discussion of colour theory and colour schemes. There will be a full demonstration highlighting the effectiveness of using a key colour ground alongside the use of matt medium to create interesting layers. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to create your own painting using the inspiration from the morning session.

WHAT TO BRING

Reference material to work from (usually a few photographs), acrylic paints, (bring your own colours including titanium white), matt medium, surface to work on such as acrylic paper or canvas, spare paper for exercises, brushes, water pot, palette, kitchen roll, masking tape, water spray, 6B pencil, putty rubber, table covering, old shirt or apron. Please bring your own packed lunch.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations are subject to a one off £20.00 administration charge to cover processing costs, website booking fees, and card payment fees. For cancellations within one week of the course date, no refunds can be given. ​In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled, moved or rearranged you will be offered a refund of your payment or an alternative course. The organiser will not be held responsible for any extra costs arising out of the cancellation of a course.
