COLOUR MIXING IN ACRYLIC & OIL

Do you struggle to mix the right colours, tones and shades for your painting? Do you go round and round adding more and more paint but seemingly getting nowhere? In this workshop you will learn how to mix the right colours and values for your painting. You will learn some straight forward colour theory before embarking on exercises to mix tints, tones and shades correctly. Course includes theory, exercise work and a demonstration plus the opportunity to put your new found skills into your own painting.

What to bring

Reference material to work from (usually a few photographs). Complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch.

If working with acrylic -  acrylic paints, acrylic paper, board or canvas, brushes, waterpot, palette, kitchen roll, masking tape, water spray, pencil, putty rubber. Apron or old shirt, table covering or newspaper.

If working with oil - oil paints, easel, oil paper, board or canvas, brushes, odourless solvent only please, brush washer, palette, kitchen roll, masking tape. Apron or old shirt, table covering or newspaper.
